ILOILO City – A drug pushing suspect was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Dec. 29 at the Jaro district plaza around 4 a.m.
Renzo Niño Cabantud, 24, of Barangay Hibao-an, Pavia, Iloilo was taken to the Jaro police station.
An undercover police officer bought from him a sachet of suspected shabu for P1,100, a police report showed.
Cabantud faces a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
In another successful police operation, a man charged with violation of Presidential Decree 1602 which outlawed illegal gambling was served with an arrest warrant in Barangay Jamabalud, Pototan, Iloilo.
John Cuarte, 40, was caught around 10 a.m. on Dec. 27 and taken to the Pototan police station.
A P2,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty.
