JORDAN, Guimaras – More than 500 regular employees of the provincial government of Guimaras, including those assigned at the provincial hospital, will each be receiving P10,000 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI).
On Dec. 29, the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) held a special session and approved the following:
* appropriation ordinance on Supplemental Budget No. 07 amounting to P4,220,000 to be sourced from Savings from Personal Services (June to December 2021) – this is for the SRI of regular provincial government employees
* appropriation ordinance on Supplemental Budget No. 05 for the Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital (DCGNPH) in the amount of P1,120,000 to be sourced from Savings from Personal Services as of October 2021 – this is for the SRI of 112 regular hospital employees
“Mga 442 regular employees sa provincial government and 112 employees sa hospital…I think P10,000 per employee ang mabaton nga SRI,” Gando told Panay News.
This is the provincial government’s way of thanking its employees, particularly the frontliners, he added.
“At least bisan sa tunga sang pandemya ila man mabatyagan nga ginahatagan sila importansya,” said Gando.
Last week, these over 500 regular employees each received P22,000 Collective Negotiation Agreement (CNA) incentive.
As for the around 400 provincial government job hires (JO) and contract of service (COS) personnel, Gando said another SP special session will be held on Friday morning, Dec. 31, for their incentive (P3,000 each).
Just this Dec. 29 President Rodrigo Duterte ordered that gratuity pay be released to job hires and contract of service emplopees.
“Granting a year-end Gratuity Pay to COS and JO workers is a well-deserved recognition of their hard work in implementing programs, projects and activities including those which are part of the emergency pandemic response effort of the government,” said the President./PN
