ILOILO City – A drug pushing suspect here with a pending arrest warrant was caught on Jan. 1, 2021 on Ponsaran Street, Barangay Poblacion Norte, Sigma, Capiz.
Jovel Jereso, 31, was a resident of Zone 2, Barangay Tanza Timawa 1. He was arrested at around 5:02 p.m.
The arrest warrant for a complaint of violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 was issued by Judge Victor Gelvezon of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 36 (Iloilo City).
No bail bond was recommended for Jereso’s temporary liberty.
After his arrest, the suspect was turned over to Police Station 1 here. He was No. 10 in the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region 6’s list of drug suspects, police said.
Jereso was subjected by PDEA-6 to a buy-bust operation in 2016 but he managed to escape./PN
