Election officers in WV revamped

ILOILO City – To ensure fair and clean May 9, 2022 elections, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) is reshuffling the election officers in Western Visayas.

According to Atty. Wilfred Jay Balisado, regional director of Comelec, the revamp has started.

The new election supervisors are the following:

* Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria – from Negros Occidental to Iloilo province

* Atty. Elizabeth Doronila – from Iloilo province to Comelec regional office

* Atty. Norberto Salazar – from Aklan to Negros Occidental

* Atty. Wil Arseño – from Capiz to Antique

* Atty. Milagros Villanueva – from Guimaras to Capiz

* Atty. Rainer Layson – from Iloilo City to Aklan

* Election Officer Bert Arbis – from the municipality of Oton, Iloilo to Guimaras

* Comelec-6 assistant director Tomas Valera – officer-in-charge in Iloilo City

* Bacolod City Election Officer Kathrina Trinio-Cana

Nag-start effective this week ang reshuffling pero may iba na Monday (next week) na mag-start. To follow naman yong mga municipal election officers,” said Balisado.

He added: “Hopefully before the end of the month ang election officers natin ma-reshuffle kasi ma-start na ang campaign for national positions on Feb. 8,” said Balisado.

“What we are trying to avoid is our election officers getting very familiar with certain officials para mawala ang mga doubts,” explained Balisado./PN
