ILOILO City – A police officer is in trouble. A car mechanic in the town of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo claimed having been threatened by the cop.
Patrolman Jomar Zerrudo of Barangay Lagubang, Barotac Nuevo was connected with the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company based in Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
The complainant was 25-year-old Jundie Mar Buendia also of Barangay Lagubang.
According to Buendia, sometime in the second week of December 2021 in their village, he and Zerrudo had a row. The cop complained about the noise from the muffler of Buendia’s motorcycle.
This was supposedly settled in the barangay hall but after several days, Zerrudo complained again.
If Buendia were to be believed, there was heated argument, with the cop brandishing his service firearm. Cooler heads intervened.
