BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu weighing 160 grams and valued at around P1 million was seized in Barangay Rizal, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental on Jan. 24, less than two weeks after shabu worth P10.2 million was confiscated in Barangay Guadalupe, also in San Carlos City, on Jan. 12.
This most recent seizure was carried out by the city police in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit of the Police Regional Office 6 at about 11:38 p.m. in a mall.
A suspect was arrested, too – Cesar Pasigay, 47, of Barangay Rizal. The city police listed him as No. 8 in their drug watch list.
Pasigay was detained at the city police station and would be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
