Out of 400 entries that joined the “Rejoice Girl TikTok Dance Challenge”, only one emerges as the grand winner.
The 19-year old half Danish-half Filipina Mary Josephine Paaske is the newest ‘Visayan Rejoice Girl 2021’. Born and raised in Denmark, Mary moved in the Philippines after 11 years with her entire family and settled in Midsayap, Cotabato.
Living a simple yet meaningful life in the province has made her independent and strong when faced with everyday challenges. For this young and talented girl, beauty and style comes in comfort from a brand that can give her the confidence she needs everyday.
“When I first came here in 2013, I was looking for a shampoo that suits my hair; I tried Rejoice that I bought in a sari-sari store near our house in Cotabato. “At first I was shy because it was my first time to join this kind of contest, although I participated in pageantry and modeling gigs before. It was a new challenge for me so I took the courage believing that it will make me shine getting out of my comfort zone, and yes I did it! I became the first Visayan Rejoice Girl and it was overwhelming!”
First time’s the charm
Mary had this to say when asked about her reaction when she found out that she had won. ” I was shocked and happy. Imagine this is the first time I joined in this kind of contest and luckily I won. I feel like I was dreaming. But also I’m very thankful to my family, manager, and friends that truly support in everything I do,” Mary cheerfully explained.
“I’m also thankful to Rejoice because this is a perfect shampoo for young girls like me. It is affordable and at the same time, it’s sulit. Her message to young aspiring girls
