CAPIZ – A retired police was arrested for carrying a firearm, which is a violation of the Comelec Gun Ban, around 1 p.m. on Jan. 27 in Malonoy, Dao, Capiz.
The arrested was identified as Jose Marin, 60 of the said barangay.
Personnel of Dao Municipal Police Station were conducting mobile patrol when they received a phone call from Baltazar Paja informing them that a person was carrying a firearm.
Upon reaching said place, they saw the Marin standing and when they approached him, they recovered from his possession one unit caliber 9mm pistol with one magazine loaded with 15 ammunition and one unit homemade caliber 38 revolvers with five ammunition.
He was brought to Dao MPS for a proper disposition of his case./PN
