BACOLOD City – Who is Negros Occidental governor Eugenio Jose Lacson’s candidate for president?

He is not making it known yet.

Why?

At the moment he is concentrating on his own campaign, he said.

Lacson is seeking reelection. He has a challenger – former Bacolod City congressman Atty. John Orola.

Lacson is a member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition (NPC), a party led by Sen. Vicente Sotto III who is the running-mate of presidential candidate Sen. Panfilo Lacson.

“I don’t know if the party will even make a choice. But I guess by March there will be clarity if it will support a certain candidate or allow members to choose,” said Lacson.

The governor said he will respect the choices of other public officials such as San Carlos City’s Mayor Renato Gustilo who is backing presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and running mate, Mayor Sara Duterte of Davao City./PN
