35 PWUDs in Patnongon received livelihood assistance

PATNONGON, Antique – The thirty-five drug surrenders’ or Persons Who Used Drugs (PWUDs) in Patnongon, Antique received a livelihood assistance grant last Feb. 13.

Mayor Evohn Nee Baldestamon with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office released cash assistance to the 35 PWUDs. Out of 35 PWUDs, 10 of them were able to receive P15,000.00 each from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Regional Office 6 fund while three beneficiaries received P15,000.00 each and 22 beneficiaries received P10,000.00 each from the local government unit (LGU) Patnongon fund.

The cash assistance will be used by the drug surrenders’ for their small business to maintain a steady income and to help them prevent using illegal drugs again.
