PAVIA, Iloilo – The Ungka II Fire Sub-Station at the Pavia People’s Terminal in Barangay Ungka II, Pavia, Iloilo has been activated yesterday.

It will bring the services of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) closer to the community, according to Senior Superintendent Jerry Candidato, regional director.

“This has been realized because of our partnership with the private sector. Robinsons Place Pavia ang naghatag sang space. This is the first fire substation in Pavia,” Candido told Panay News.

The substation’s location is ideal, he added.

“Pinaka-importante subong ang ini nga area kay sentro and damo malls. May malapit na nga mag-responder sa sunog and even road accidents,” said Candido.

With one fire truck on standby, the substation will operate 24/7.

It has four BFP firefighters plus two fire auxiliaries from the local government Pavia.

Its hotline numbers are 329-3306 and 09106181660.

“Tama gid ini kadaku nga bulig para sa amon mga pumoluyo diri. Ingkaso may sunog madasig lang ang pag responder,” said Punong Barangay Julieta Mantilla of Barangay Ungka II.
