ILOILO – Today, Vice President Leni Robredo is holding rallies in various parts of the province, culminating in a grand one at the humungous Iloilo Sports Complex in Iloilo City by late afternoon.
Yesterday, her rival former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. held his in Barotac Nuevo (Tamasak Arena & Football Field), attended by thousands of supporters.
Marcos was with his running mate Mayor Sara Duterte of Davao City. They also met with barangay captains and campaign leaders at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City in the morning.
Today, Robredo will be with her running mate, too, Sen. Francisco Pangilinan.
They have campaign stops in the towns of Oton, Santa Barbara, Pototan, Ajuy, and Concepcion, according to Ariel Castañeda, chairman of Robredo People’s Council-Iloilo.
“I-celebrate niya with the Ilonggos ang commemoration sang 36th year sang EDSA People Power Revolution,” added Castañeda.
Tomorrow, Feb. 26, the Robrero-Pangilinan tandem will proceed to Guimaras./PN
