BACOLOD City – Eight persons were arrested in a drug bust in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental recently.
Suspected shabu valued at P102,000 was also seized.
The suspects arrested were Nova Rojas, 43, of Barangay 5; Emmanuel Pepito, 42; Jessie Caballero Jr., 36; Edmar Yap,31; Jonathan Artajo, 33; Carl Niño Canoy, 34; Ronal Esclibano, 28 (all residents of San Carlos City); and Rosendo Suaring, 40, of Vallehermoso, Negros Oriental.
The drug bust was conducted at about 11 a.m. on Feb. 24.
The suspects were taken to the San Carlos City police station. Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against them./PN
