BAGO City – Negros Occidental-based football club made their presence felt in the Bacolod leg of the 1st Orich Cup Football Festival over the weekend.
PPAFF – Cadiz wowed the crowd at the Oisca Training Center in Bago City, Negros Occidental on Saturday. They clinched the crown in the men’s category.
Finishing first and second runner ups, respectively, in the division that was participated by 24 football clubs were Pamplona FC and La Carlota FC.
Bacolod City-based Loverbois FC, meanwhile, bested 15 other teams in the boys 19 and under category to emerge as champions.
Settling for a runner up finish was Bacong FC, which lost Loverbois in a tight finals match. Rivals FC ended up as second runner up in the category.
Bcld United-B team claimed the championship in the boys 15 and under category after lording over 11 other contestants.
Jesusa FC settled for the silver medal in the division following a tight loss to Bcld United. Pharma FC B went home with the bronze medal.
Real Negrense FC, on the other hand, topped the 45 above category on Sunday after beating Iloilo United FC in the finals. FCB clinched the bronze medal.
In the Women’s event, where 15 teams competed, EVFC-B clinched the crown after defeating EVFC-A in the finals. Ronins United bagged the bronze.
The two-day football event, which was hosted by Gardenville United Football Club, was participated by football squads from Negros Occidental, Negros Oriental, Iloilo, Antique, Boracay and Buruanga./PN
