ILOILO – A motorcycle and a tricycle collided in Barangay Ilaya 1st, Dumangas, Iloilo. Their drivers died while four others were injured.
The casualties were Rechie Viñas, 37, of Barotac Nuevo town and Paciano Descalsota of Barangay Calao, Dumangas.
Viñas was driving the motorcycle while Descalsota the tricycle. Both were declared dead at the Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital.
The injured were Marvin Gingco of Bacolod City and back rider of Viñas;, Nelie Jabsaban, Evelyn Bernante and a minor girl. They were treated at the Ramon D. Duremdes District Hospital.
According to Police Staff Sergeant Terence John Soria of the Dumangas police station, the vehicular happened at around 6:15 a.m. on Sunday. The tricycle was headed to the town proper of Dumangas when it and the motorcycle driven by Viñas collided.
“Both vehicles may be running fast. Grabe ang damage. During that time wala pa sang madamo nga salakyan, amo na guro nga madasig ang ila pagpadalagan,” Soria said./PN
