CAPIZ – From more than hundreds of confirmed cases, 11 towns in this province have now zero active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), as of March 22.
Data from the Provincial Health Office (PHO) showed that these towns are Cuartero, Dao, Dumalag, Jamindan, Panay, Panit-an, Pilar, Pontevedra, President Roxas, Sapian, and Sigma.
Capiz has 17 local government units including Roxas City.
It has 21 active cases of COVID-19 left and these are from towns namely Roxas City 11, Dumarao, and Ivisan with three cases each, Maayon with two cases, and Mambusao, and Tapaz with one case each.
The 21 active cases comprise 0.17 percent of total confirmed cases while 11, 793 or 95.63 percent have already recovered and 518 or 4.20 percent are deaths.
Meanwhile, the majority of 90.48 percent of the active cases are mild and asymptomatic while 9.52 percent are moderate, severe, or critical./PN
