EOC limits vax sites due to the reduction of vaccinees

BACOLOD City- The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) in this city will reduce the coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) vaccination centers, particularly at the malls following the reduction of vaccinees.

EOC executive director Em Ang said starting next month only vaccination centers in some mega malls in Bacolod City will be the venue of the vaccination program for COVID-19 vaccines.

She added that aside from mega malls, they will bring the Resbakuna Centers in the barangays for constituents that can’t travel to the malls.

“They don’t have to go to the malls because we will allocate additional vaccines for the Resbakuna Centers, Ang said.

The vaccination centers here now accommodate “walk-ins, she claimed.

Doctor Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical data analysis and management of the EOC said they are intensifying the vaccination for the children aged 5 to 11 years old group to prepare them for the face-to-face classes.

They have enough supply of Pfizer vaccines to inoculate children, who are eligible to avail the COVID-19 vaccines, the EOC disclosed.

It reported that this city topped other local government units in Western Visayas on vaccination coverage accomplishment.
