CAPIZ – A five-year-old girl drowned in the river near their house in Barangay Aglimocon, Maayon here on Tuesday.
According to the information gathered by Maayon police, the grandfather left the unnamed victim who was sleeping inside a “duyan”
to cook food for their lunch.
However, after a while when the grandfather checked on her, she was already gone.
Thus, they search for her outside their house until they found her already lifeless in the river.
The river is about 30 meters away from their house.
The victim was rushed to Bailan District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival./PN
