BACOLOD City – A couple was nabbed by police operatives in a buy-bust operation and P530,400 worth of suspected shabu was recovered from them on San Juan Street, Purok Candelaria, Barangay Sum-ag.
The Bacolod City Police Office – Drug Enforcement Unit and the Philippine National Police’s Drug Enforcement Group – Special Operations Unit 6 identified the suspects as Gabriel Llenos Jr., 40, and Geraldine Bawa-an, 38, both residing at Nobleza Apartment.
An undercover police officer bought from them a plastic sachet of suspected shabu for P1,000.
According to the police, Llenos had a record of previous arrest – in 2016 for alleged violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 – but was released in March 2022.
Recovered from the two suspects were 19 pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 78 grams and valued at P530,400.
The two suspects were taken to the Bacolod City Police Station 9 after their arrest on April 7 at about 2:53 p.m./PN
