ROXAS City – The Roxas City Police Station (RCPS) has intensified its campaign against illegal or loose firearms through the program Tokhang Kontra Armas Luthang (TKAL)-Revitalized.
Loose firearms refer to unregistered firearms, obliterated or altered firearms, firearms lost or stolen, illegally manufactured firearms, registered firearms in the possession of an individual other than the licensee, and those with revoked licenses.
On April 19, 2022, a caliber .38 revolver without a serial number and with nine live ammunition and 48 pieces of 5.56mm live ammunition were turned-over to the RCPS.
This was realized after Rocelyn F. Yuro, Barangay Peace Keeping Active Team (BPAT) member of Barangay Bago, Roxas City, received a phone call from a concerned citizen who voluntarily handed over to her the items mentioned with the assistance of barangay official Ely A. Azarraga.
The items were then turned over to the RCPS.
Two M16 rifle magazines with two two pistol holsters were also turned over to the RCPS.
RCPS chief Police Lt. Colonel Aron Palomo lauded the efforts of his personnel. /PN
