ANTIQUE – There are no active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID -19) in 14 towns in Antique, as of April 21.
These are Anini-y, Barbaza, Belison, Caluya, Culasi, Bugasong, Libertad, Patnongon, San Jose de Buenavista, San Remigio, Sebaste, Sibalom, Tobias Fornier, and Valderrama.
The remaining four towns that continue to list active cases are Hamtic, Tibiao, Laua -an, and Pandan, with one case each.
As of the April 21 report of the Antique Provincial Health Office (APHO), only four active cases of COVID-19 have been listed. The 8,344 were recovering out of 8,697 total confirmed cases, and 349 were killed.
As such, APHO continues to remind residents to remain vigilant by following health protocols especially wearing a face mask, observing social distancing, and hand washing.
APHO also encourages residents to get vaccinated to be protected against COVID-19, especially the Omicron variant.
As of now, only three towns particularly San Jose, Sebaste, and Anini-y are under Alert Level 1 while the 15 remaining towns are still in Alert Level 2./PN
