ILOILO – Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. scrapped the S-PaSS requirement for inbound travels.
He also ordered public transport (land, aviation and maritime) to operate at full capacity (100 percent), and so are private offices and workplaces as well as government agencies and instrumentalities.
Defensor’s Executive Order No. 260, Series of 2022 cited Iloilo being under Alert Level 1 after several months of being under Alert Level 2.
He made the following adjustments.
* Public transportation, including aviation and maritime, can operate on a 100 percent seating capacity. The use of acrylic and/or plastic dividers shall not be required. The use of the Safe, Swift, and Smart Passage (S-PaSS) travel management system shall likewise not be required for interzonal travel to areas under Alert Level 1.
* All private offices and workplaces as well as government agencies and instrumentalities may operate at full 100 percent capacity. They may continue to adopt flexible and alternative work arrangements as deemed appropriate.
* Wearing of face masks is still required whether outdoors or indoors both in public and private establishments.
* Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 should inform their close contacts for quarantine and symptoms monitoring.
* The city/municipal mayors are authorized to impose granular lockdown subject to epidemiological parameters stated in the executive order.
* Individuals 18 years old and above will be required to present proof of full vaccination before participating in mass gatherings, such as but not limited to:
a.) In-person religious gatherings for necrological services, wakes, inurment, and funerals for those who died of causes other than COVID-19 and for the cremains of the COVID-19 deceased
b.) All indoor dine-in services of food preparation establishments such as kiosk, commissaries, restaurants, and eateries. For outdoor or Al fresco dining and take out channels, no proof of full vaccination is required
c.) All indoor personal care establishments such as barbershop, hair spas, hair salons, and nail spas and those offering aesthetic/cosmetic services or procedures, make up services, salons, spas, reflexology, and other similar procedures including home service options
d.) Fitness studios, gyms and venues for exercise and sports
e.) All indoor cinemas or movie houses operating at full capacity
f.) Meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibition events and permitted venues for social events such as parties, wedding receptions, engagement parties, wedding anniversaries, debut and birthday parties, family reunions and bridal or baby showers
g.) Indoor ancillary establishments in hotels and other accommodation establishments, and
h.) Venues for election-related activities.
Proof of full vaccination shall be required before entry in the list of establishments identified.
Children aged 17 and below shall not be required to present proof of full vaccination status.
As of April 29, 2022, total confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province was 45,143 wherein 342 are active.
For the two-week period from April 10 to April 23, 2022, the daily average of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the province is 4.57, with an average daily attack rate of 0.22, a two-week growth rate of negative (-) 60.49 percent.
