CAPIZ – Governor-elect Fredenil “Oto” Castro, the outgoing congressman of the province’s 2nd District, vowed to clean the provincial government – literally and figuratively.
Castro, in a media interview, said one of the first things he will do is enter the comfort room of the capitol and check its cleanliness.
“Kon indi ako ka ihi, manabat sa akon ang nagapanglimpyo,” said Castro.
The incoming governor also vowed to “clean administratively” the capitol personnel, departments and offices.
“Kon ila ginlapakan…ginhalitan ang mga Capizeños…antis ako magtumar sang aksyon, ginasiling ko sa ila, ara sa ila ang inisyatibo kon ano ang himuon nila. My desk is open accepting their courtesy resignations,” he said.
Castro said his win is the victory of all the people of Capiz.
“Gani ang kadalag-an nga ini indi ko pagbaslan sang pagpalabi-labi. Indi ko man pagbaslan sang binugal o hinambog. Baslan ko ini sang matuod-tuod nga pag-alila sa aton mga pumoluyo. Pagkakita nila sang aton kapitolyo masiling sila, ang kapitolyo sang Capiz amo ang sandigan sang paglaom,” Castro emphasized.
Castro also vowed to give priority to the less fortunate when it comes to programs and services.
“Ini nga kadalag-an, kadalag-an sang tanan, ilabi na gid sa mga pumoluyo naton nga mas mahatagan sang mas labi kag madamo nga pag-alila kay sila ang mga wala mahatagi sang mas madamo nga material nga bugay sang aton Makaako,” he added.
According to Castro, he is thankful to all who supported him in his battle and vowed to bring to the capitol the “Gugma ni Castro” with a smile and compassion.
The tourism sector will also be one of the priorities of Castro. He vowed to make Capiz one of the tourism destinations in the region./PN
