ILOILO City – The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) arrested a total of 1,938 individuals with arrest warrants in four months of operation.
According to PRO-6 director, Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, this was achieved through the strong collaboration between communities and the police.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa taongbayan sa pagtulong sa atin sa mga whereabouts ng mga tao na may warrants of arrest. Without them we could not achieve this,” Dongbo said.
Of the 1,938 arrested, 336 were in the Top 10 list of fugitives of various police units.
Of these, Negros Occidental had the highest number of arrests (117), followed by Iloilo province (62), Bacolod City (56), Iloilo City (26), Antique (23), Capiz (24), Aklan (15), Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Regional Field Unit 6 (CIDG-RFU6) (11), and Guimaras (two).
Meanwhile, out of the 1,602 fugitives charged with lesser offenses, Negros Occidental had the most number of arrests at 848, followed by Iloilo Province (243), Bacolod City (142), Aklan (82), Capiz (72), CIDG-RFU6 (59), Iloilo City (54), Antique (59), and Guimaras (43).
“Your police will not stop tracking down wanted persons and bring them to the courts of law,” he added./PN
