ILOILO – To mark the Philippine National Police (PNP) Finance Service’s 82nd Founding Anniversary, tree planting and a feeding program were held by the Regional Finance Service Office 6 (RFSO6) in Barangay Anilao, Pavia, Iloilo on June 7.

The activities were led by Police Colonel Cresenciano Landicho, chief of RFSO6; Police Lieutenant Colonel Angelito De Juan, assistant chief of RFSO6; and personnel of the office, plus those going to Pavia municipal police station.

Barangay officials of Anilao led by Barangay Captain Tito Henarios also supported the activity, and so was Sangguniang Bayan member Daniel :Dan Fajardo II.

Over 200 seedlings of fruit-bearing trees wer”e planted in a vacant lot near the covered gym of Barangay Anilao.

Meanwhile, some 150 kids availed themselves of the feeding program.

Why tree planting?

“This is a way para makatulong naman kami paano ma-solve or maibsan ang problema regarding sa climate change,” said Landicho.

“Madamo gid nga salamat sa aton PNP Finane Service nga ginpili ang aton barangay para sa ila aktibidad,” hambal ni Henarios./PN
