BACOLOD City – A call center agent believed to be suffering from depression was successfully rescued by members of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) from attempting to take his own life at the Concentrix Building in Barangay Mandalagan yesterday morning.
Authorities requested not to identify the 22-year-old male call center employee.
BFP-Bacolod personnel immediately proceeded to Barangay Mandalagan after receiving a call from concerned citizens about a young man standing on the edge of the building’s fifth floor.
Negotiations took about 30 minutes.
The call center agent would later tell his rescuers he had problems at work and in his love life.
The young man was brought to a hospital for examination./PN
