ILOILO City – A total of 228 aspiring soldiers from different parts of Region 6 kicked off their rigorous training.

The 16-week Basic Military Training at the Philippine Army’s 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division (3ID) Training School (3DTS) in Camp General Macario Peralta Jr. in Jamindan, Capiz started on June 8.

They will be taught the basic foundations of soldiery and the Army’s core values as being defenders of the nation.

Arevalo commended the members of CS Class 725-2022 for hurdling almost three months of the application phase.

Likewise, he said the 228 CS were chosen as the best among the thousands of aspirants who lined up to fulfill their dream of becoming part of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.

“Take the training seriously and always put your best in everything you do, and consider mistakes as part of the learning process to improve yourself and capabilities,” said Arevalo.

Of the 228 candidate soldiers, 151 are from the 3ID, 30 from 3rd Installation Management Battalion, and 47 from 53rd Engineering Brigade, who came from the different parts of the region. (PIA-6/PN)
