ILOILO City – Taking a bath at the newly-installed water fountain in the newly-restored Molo public plaza is prohibited.

Over the weekend, a day after the plaza was opened to the public on Friday, several children were spotted taking a bath at the fountain.

According to Engr. Neil Ravena, acting City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) head, the fountain will be guarded by the police and “green” guards.

Ravena said CENRO and the Molo police already talked to the parents of the children who bathed in the fountain.

The minors were also made to understand by City Social Welfare and Development personnel that what they did was not right and even dangerous because the fountain were installed with lights and electric lines./PN
