ILOILO – The Bingawan police station and Iloilo Police Provincial Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 47-year-old man in a buy-bust operation.
They also confiscated P102,000 worth of suspected shabu on July 8 at around 9:50 a .m. in Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion, Bingawan.
Supect Joenard Briones is a resident of the aforementioned place.
According to Police Lieutenant Ryan Christ Inot, acting chief of police of Bingawan, illegal transactions transpired mostly at the suspect’s house.
Information reached the police that he previously resided in Tapaz, Capiz and transferred to Bingawan sometime in 2016.
He is also a “tokhang surrenderee”.
The suspect is presently at the custody of the Bingawan police station and a charge for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 is being readied to be filed against him./PN
