IPPO nets 606 wanted persons in 7 months 

ILOILO City – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) was able to neutralize a total of 606 wanted persons in seven months of operations.

Records from IPPO showed that from January to July of this year, of the 606 wanted persons arrested, 30 of them had voluntarily surrendered while 576 were arrested through serving of arrest warrants.

IPPO director Colonel Adrian Acollador said that the high number of fugitives arrested was the result of their massive operations against those who have pending cases.

On Thursday, August 4, Western Visayas’ No. 1 most wanted person was arrested in Barangay Sabang, Caluya, Antique. 

Dennis Malacad, 51, a resident of Barangay Sabang, is now detained at the Caluya police station after he was nabbed at around 12:40 a.m. by the combined elements of Caluya municipal police station, Regional Intelligence Unit 6, Antique Police Provincial Office – Intelligence Unit, and Maritime police.

Malacad, who is also the No. 1 most wanted person in the municipality of Caluya and province of Antique, was arrested through an arrest warrant for the crime of seven counts of rape issued and signed by Judge Josefina Fulo Muego of the Regional Trial Court – Branch 13 in Culasi, Antique./PN
