ILOILO – One died and another was injured in a shooting in Barangay Paloc Sool, Dumangas town on Aug. 14.
The fatality was Steve Catillano, 43. He succumbed to a gunshot wound on the chest and abdomen.
The wounded, on the other hand, was Rojohn Poñate, 23. He was shot in the back.
Both men were taken to the Ramon Duremdes District Hospital in Dumangas town right after being shot. Catillano was declared dead on arrival.
The suspects remain at large – a father and his son. The police declined to name them so as not to jeopardize the ongoing operation.
“Sa subong ginapangita gyapon ang aton mga suspects,” said Police Corporal Iben Pelobillo of Dumagas.
The suspects could face homicide and frustrated homicide charges./PN
