15 Pandan residents recipients of DOLE’s internship program

PANDAN, Antique – A total of 15 individuals from this town became recipients of the Department of Labor and Employment’s Government Internship Program (DOLE-GIP).

The recipients started their internship on Aug. 3 in different local government unit (LGU) offices in Pandan.

They will work for three months to gain work experience in the field of government service and will receive a salary of P450 per day from DOLE.

Before being deployed, the 15 interns underwent orientation from Mary Grace Samulde, Public Employment Service Office officer-in-charge, regarding their work in the LGU and about the expectations from them as future public servants.

Samulde also ensured that the interns have fully understood their duties and responsibilities.

She added that they will monitor their performance and ensure that they acquire the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude.

DOLE-GIP aims to provide opportunities for young workers to demonstrate their talents and skills in the field of public services, with the ultimate objective of attracting the best and the brightest who want to pursue a career in government service, particularly in the field of labor and employment./PN
