ROXAS City – All 47 Child Development Centers (CDC), popularly known as daycare centers, in this city were given five-star ratings during the recent CDC Regional Accreditation.
Also, three child development workers (CDWs) were cited by the regional accreditation team for their outstanding performance.
The outstanding CDWs were Elena Aguilos of CDC-Nasagud Lanot in Barangay Lanot, Rebecca Acepcion of CDC-San Isidro in Barangay Cagay, and Noel Borreros of Barangay VII CDC.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) sets forth accreditation standards and indicators to ensure effective and quality delivery of the daycare service and other Early Childhood Education — Early Childhood Care and Development (ECE-ECCD) programs for children aged zero to 5.11 years old through various centers and its service providers.
Meanwhile, the city government congratulated all their daycare centers and the three outstanding CDWs.
For Mayor Ronnie Dadivas, their achievements are not just for them but for all, especially the children.
“Ini pamatuod sang maayo nila nga performance sa trabaho kag pagtinguha agud masiguro nga mahatagan sang dekalidad nga edukasyon ang aton mga daycare pre-schoolers sa syudad,” the mayor said./PN
