NEARSOL PH in the running for Asia CEO Awards 2022

NEARSOL Philippines has been nominated for the Asia CEO Awards 2022 – Circle of Excellence Executive Leadership Team category!

Asia CEO organizes the largest business forums and summits in the Philippines (Online, Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Clark, Iloilo) including the nation’s dominant business awards event, the Asia CEO Awards. The most prestigious of all their events, recognition is given across several categories: Service Excellence Company of the Year, CSR Company of the Year, Most Innovative Company of the Year, and Executive Leadership Team of the Year, to name a few.

Awards are open to Philippine-based organizations and individuals. In all cases, candidates must have made a positive contribution to the development of the economic capabilities and international reputation of the Philippines through their employment, business involvement, or heritage. There is no fee to submit nominations and the judging process is closely scrutinized by the PwC.  

This year, NEARSOL is eligible for the Executive Leadership Team category award. To make it to the shortlist of this particular category is an honor in itself.  

The Executive Leadership Team category award is granted to any Executive Management Team that has achieved important success while overseeing a major organization. The team should have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills resulting in the maximization of stakeholders’ value. The criteria include leadership and governance, financial contribution, recognition, pioneering achievements, and social commitment.

NEARSOL is mighty proud to announce that the team headed by our very own Victor Pereda (VP as he is known to NEARSOL colleagues and employees) has continuously built a distinct company culture. With him at the helm, NEARSOL has been known for its FAMILY culture.  Contrary to naysayers, a family culture isn’t a culture of complacency. Rather, it is a culture that advocates supporting team members, instilling discipline, and being true to one’s core values. The NEARSOL FAMILY culture is evident in our open-door policies. Any NEARSOL employee is welcome to speak with senior management and suggestions are highly welcome.  The formula has worked for us since we began in 2011.

Because of this, the following achievements in leadership and governance, financial contribution, recognition, pioneering achievements, and social commitment have been made possible: a visible and significant contact center presence in seven (07) countries namely the United States, Mexico, Guatemala, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and the Philippines; the addition of four (4) Business Units; new lease contracts; the acquisition of new accounts; opening the year 2022 with 2,500 employees  being awarded new LOBs or lines of business; and the acquisition of new clients in the Philippines and Guatemala;

NEARSOL has also been consistently recognized as a Great Place to Work. The Great Place to Work-Certified™ Recognition is a global accreditation that tells stakeholders what employees think of the company culture.  In brief, it says a lot about the happiness and productivity index in NEARSOL. The certification process shows that employees are satisfied with the working environment and that they trust the leaders.

Further, our leadership bolsters the company’s operational structure by incorporating leaders with significant experience in managing multiple global accounts.  Other significant accomplishments include: the groundbreaking implementation of projects in the United States followed by new projects in Davao PH; the establishment of strategic alliances with North American companies which will enable NEARSOL to upscale and enter new markets; the consolidation of the Cxperts brand in the United States where it has been promoted independently to generate new business; successful and significant participation in Contact Center expos to generate new prospects; and continuous, annual projects that impact every hub NEARSOL operates in (distribution of health kits, supporting local government campaigns, and partnering with socio-civic communities) and the launching of NIA (the NEARSOL Intelligence Automation Assistant), an automatic and yet personalized application process for potential employees.

These projects were implemented at a time when the world stood still. Despite the uncertainty, the COVID-19 lockdowns, and the slowing down of industries across the globe, NEARSOL has not only maintained its footing in the industry. It has managed to show consistent growth. We credit this to an exceptional Executive Leadership team. Because VP and the example he and our management team consistently set, NEARSOL is equipped to balance the needs of NEARSOL’s stakeholders – from employees to C-level executives, stockholders, and the community in which every NEARSOL hub operates.

The esteemed Board of judges for the Asia CEO Awards includes Dr. Bernie Villegas, author, professor, and the Philippines’ most distinguished economist; Atty. Alex Cabrera, lawyer, certified public accountant, and former Chairman of PwC Philippines; Atty. Darlene Berberabe, former CEO of the Pag-Ibig Fund as well as the recipient of the Public Sector Leadership Asia CEO Award for 2013; Ms. Bing Simbal Limjoco, the “Mother of Philippine Franchising”, CEO of Francorp, Vice Chairman of the Philippine Franchise Association, and Vice Chairman of the Philippine Retailers Association; Don Felbaum, President of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippine and founder and chairman of the ICT Committee and Health Committee;  Jun Palafox, architect, and founder of world-renowned design and planning firm; Jack Madrid, CEO of the IT & Business Process Association of the Philippines (BPAP); and Richard Mills, former president of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines.

Esteemed Emeritus Judges include Cesar Purisima, Jose Cuisia, Marife Zamora, Oscar Sanchez, Charito Plaza, Edward Eun-Gap Chang, Francis Estrada, John Casey, Martial Beck, and Nobuo Fujii.
