ILOILO – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Region 6 has secured eight affidavits regarding the murder of three young businessmen in Estancia town on Sept. 14.

According to NBI-6 assistant regional director Jeremiah Sargado, the affidavits came from te families of victims John Paul Mark Bosque, Chrysler Floyd Fernandes and Mark Clarenz Libao; four witnesses; and Bosque’s fiancée.

On the part of the special investigation task group (SITG) Palibosfer, they are eyeing these possible motives in the killing: robbery, business, debt, and online sabong.

SITG Palibosfer stands for “Parohinog-Libao-Bosque-Fernandes”, the family names of lone survivor Jevron Parohinog and the three fatalities.

The NBI-6 is also waiting for the affidavit of Parohinog, including his appearance this week for further investigation.

On the other hand, the SITG Palibosfer is waiting for Parohinog’s consent for the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit (RACU) of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) to examine his cellphone.

According to Police Senior Master Sergeant Francisco Lindero Jr., public information officer of the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) and SITG spokesperson, they set midnight of Sept. 28 as the deadline for Parohinog to issue a waiver or consent for his cellphone to be examined.

To recall, the four men were onboard a white Isuzu MUX when attacked by motorcycle-riding gunmen in Barangay Villa Pani-an, Estancia, Iloilo at around 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 14 , as told by Parohinog to the police.

Bosque owned the vehicle but Parohinog was driving it.

Parohinog, who is still in the custody of the Estancia police station, is considered at this time as both a witness and a person of interest./PN
