BACOLOD City – As part of the MassKara Festival celebration, traffic enforcers of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) are participating in this year’s “Dancing Traffic Enforcers” competition.

The competition is spearheaded by the BTAO and organized by event creator Toots Jimenez Jr.

Jimenez said 20 traffic enforcers were registered by Police Major Junji Liba, BTAO head, to compete in the event.

An elimination round was held at Corner Lacson Street-B.S. Aquino Drive yesterday afternoon.

Five judging officials will select 14 contestants who will compete on Oct. 7, 11, 13, and 17.

“The 14 qualifiers will compete for four rounds. Four of them will be chosen to compete for the semifinals, and two will be selected for the finals on Oct. 19 at Corner Lacson-Rizal Streets,” Jimenez said.

This activity was first held in this city in December 2014 and was recognized by the Department of Tourism as a road tourism attraction, Jimenez said.

The prizes for the said competition are yet to be announced./PN
