ILOILO – A pedicab driver was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Cagbang, Oton town around 6 p.m. on Oct. 5.
Authorities identified the suspect as Samuel Bendecio, 35, and a resident of the above-mentioned barangay.
“Street level individual ang aton suspect. Nabaklan ini siya sang worth P2,200 nga illegal drugs kag dugang nga nakuha sa iya possession ang pito pa gid ka plastic (sachets) sang shabu,”said Police Major Ferdinand Limbungan, commander of the Oton Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Police confiscated a total of two grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P16,600.
“May reports kita nga nabaton nga dugay na ini siya ga-engage sa illegal drugs dira sa ila barangay kag gin-monitor ini siya namon bago arestuhon,” Limbungan added.
The suspect was detained at the Oton MPS and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
