BACOLOD City – A 38-year-old man was stabbed to death in Barangay Tinongan, Isabela, Negros Occidental on Wednesday night, Oct. 12.
Regie Misong, a resident of the town’s Barangay Cansalongon, sustained a stab wound on his left chest.
Isabel police said the victim was taken by Barangay Tinongan kagawad Orlando Arnaiz to the Ignacio Lacson Arroyo Memorial District Hospital but he was pronounced “dead-on-arrival” by the attending physician.
The victim and the suspect identified as Joven Gabotero of Barangay Tinongan had a heated argument during a drinking binge at around 7:30 p.m., police investigation showed.
The suspect fled after the stabbing. The Isabela police station launched a manhunt.
