BACOLOD City – The Calatrava Municipal Police Station is still facing a blank wall as to the motive in the killing of 52-year-old Danilo Cuales of Barangay Patun-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Cuales succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, according to the local health office.
Calatrava police’s initial investigation revealed that Cuales was inside a store in the town’s Barangay Ani-e when attacked at around 2 p.m. on Oct. 23.
Ronald Abadilla, 42, of Barangay Lalong in the same locality, arrived armed with an unknown caliber of firearm. He shot the victim several times, police said.
The suspect fled after the incident. Calatrava police’s manhunt operation against the suspect is ongoing./PN
