ILOILO – A quack doctor was shot dead in Barangay Ticuan, Leon town on Sunday, Oct. 23.
Roque Cabunducan was a 61-year-old resident of the barangay. He succumbed to gunshot wounds to his left face, left shoulder, chest, and abdomen.
He was walking home around 10 p.m. when shot several times by three armed men, according to Police Lieutenant Melchor Tolentino, acting chief of the Leon Municipal Police Station (MPS).
The men quickly left using a motorcycle.
The Leon MPS immediately set up a checkpoint in Barangay Buga after receiving information that the suspects could be passing by the area.
The men were never intercepted.
The police recovered four cartridges of .9mm gun and two cartridges and one bullet of .45 caliber pistol at the crime scene.
Police are considering an occupation-related motive in the killing./PN
