BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) recorded no festivity-related crime during the MassKara Festival from Oct. 1 to 23.

Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director, Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco, led the Culmination and Awarding Ceremonies yesterday morning at the BCPO’s headquarters in Barangay Taculing.

Francisco thanked Mayor Alfredo “Albee” Benitez, along with the other city officials, for supporting the BCPO in keeping Bacolod peaceful and secure.

He also recognized the Philippine Army, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Philippine Coast Guard, Bureau of Fire Protection, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and other force multipliers for their assistance.

The region’s top cop added that the PRO-6 will apply what they have learned in the MassKara Festival to the upcoming Dinagyang and Ati-atihan festivals in Iloilo City and Kalibo, Aklan, respectively, in January of next year, as well as the celebration of the Chinese New Year in February./PN
