BACOLOD City — Tickets sold for the AFC President’s Cup Group B Qualifiers on May 6–10 are only for the main stadium and bleachers at Panaad Park and Sports Stadium, Nicolas Golez of the Local Organizing Committee clarified.
There will be free admission at the open bleachers, he said.
Tickets can be bought at the Ceres Football Club headquarters across Ayala District, Talisay City, on May 3.
Ceres-La Salle Football Club, representing the Philippines, will play in the tournament against three other teams.
They will play North Korea on May 6. The North Korean team had an impressive showing at the FIFA World Cup and, for the President’s Cup qualifiers, will bring at least six players with World Cup experience.
Their second assignment will be against Chinese-Taipei, an equally formidable squad that placed third in the 2010 edition of the President’s Cup, on May 8.
Ceres-La Salle Football Club will wrap up its campaign on May 10 against defending champion Turkmenistan.
The Bacolod City Police Office, with its “Oplan AFC,” will secure the venue.
A total of 257 police personnel will be deployed to the Panaad Park and Stadium and the billeting centers of the visiting squads./PN
