BACOLOD City – Parts of Negros Occidental will experience power interruption this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 12 and 13.
Maintenance activities will be conducted to ensure the stability of distribution lines and avoid further serious damage that will result in major power interruptions, said Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) acting general manager Ervin Stan Leo Ticar.
On Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., the power cooperative will conduct the mid-span erection of a 40-foot primary pole for the installation of one 37.5kVA (kilovolt ampere) distribution transformer together with its secondary metering and stringing of its secondary drop, which will affect the Sum-ag Feeder 2 (SF2).
Affected are several barangays of Bago City and the town of Murcia.
On Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., preventive maintenance will be conducted on the 10 MVA (megavolt ampere) Lopez Substation and related accessories for safety and reliability, including the replacement of primary rotten poles of Lopez Feeders 1, 2 and 3 and line clearing.
Ticar said Lopez Feeders 1 to 3 maintenance will affect specific portions of Silay City.
