La Paz PNP, MPU conduct synchronized checkpoints

ILOILO City – The La Paz police station and the Mobile Patrol Unit jointly conducted synchronized checkpoints on Nov. 14 to 16.

Police Major Jose Val Ladublan, chief of the La Paz police station, said motorists were cooperating.

So far, no firearms, knives or any other contraband were found and confiscated.

“May ara lang minor violations nga wala helmet, wala lisensya ukon wala rehistro ang motor. So far, mu na lang man,” said Ladublan.

Only a few minor accidents were also recorded, like when one drunk driver fell off his motorcycle, he added.

The La Paz police chief warned motorists who would attempt to carry weapons or smuggle contraband. He said policemen are serious about strictly implementing checkpoints following the directive of Iloilo City Police Office director, Police Colonel Leo Batiles./PN
