Bacolod City man shot dead

BACOLOD City – A 31-year-old man was declared “dead on the spot” after he was shot in Purok Kingfisher, Barangay 16 in this city around 12:45 p.m. on Friday.

The 31-year-old fatality identified as Mark Christian John “Badjao” Luceño, a resident of Purok Malipayon in the city’s Barangay 35, succumbed to gunshot wound on his head.

Based on witness accounts given to the Police Station 1, the victim was sitting inside a pedicab when the motorcycle-riding gunman approached and shot him at close range.

Police also revealed that, upon review of the closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage, the triggerman was wearing a gray jacket, a facemask and a helmet while riding a Honda Click.

The suspect fled after the incident.

Police recovered a caliber .45 cartridge at the crime scene.

Luceño was preciously convicted of robbery and illegal gambling, according to the Police Station 1.

As of this writing, police are still investigating the incident and are looking at personal grievances or involvement in illegal acts and drugs as motives./PN
