BACOLOD City – Twelve persons were taken into custody by the San Enrique Municipal Police Station for alleged illegal gambling.
The suspects were Nelsie Nochepo, Arlyn Dumalaog, Princess Ruffa Nochepo, Rosalinda Jaro, Rosalie Cuson, Emilyn Bebacao, Helen Guzman, Cristel Joy Magbanua, Gina Amar, Lelia Vasquez, Aster Montalbo, and Josa Javier – all residents of the locality.
One of their fellows, Ponefreda Estoya, evaded arrest.
San Enrique police said the suspects were caught playing bingo outside a house in Barangay Sibucao, San Enrique, Negros Occidental around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
Cops recovered bet money amounting to P251.55 and bingo cards.
