MISS Universe 2018 Catriona Gray shared her disappointment on social media on Saturday, Dec. 3, after she wasn’t given enough time to finish her speech during an event.
The beauty queen revealed that she had prepared a speech that should have lasted 20 minutes.
Catriona was invited to talk at the Global Peace Festival 2022 which was held in Clark Global City in Pampanga.
The 28-year-old beauty queen expressed how utterly disappointed she was after being cut off midway through her speech.
“I’m so disappointed. To everyone who has been waiting in the heat at the #GPFestival2022 I’m sorry. I worked on a 20-minute speech for you all, and have been so excited to share it with you all but I was cut off not even 10 minutes in,” she shared.
Then again, Catriona still thanked her fans for coming out and showing their support.
“Just know I love and appreciate you guys and I’m so sad I wasn’t able to have my proper time with you,” she added.
Netizens and fans who attended the event responded to her tweet and said that Catriona had nothing to worry about.
Admitting they also wanted to hear her speak more, they pointed out that it wasn’t the beauty queen who was at fault.
“You are still inspiring despite the limited time. Please continue to inspire us through your own simple ways,” Twitter user @ReigeenG shared.
“We were there and were disappointed too. No matter what the reason to cut you is not valid because the time that you input to write that speech and to express it. We’ve been listening to a lot of your speeches and they are all meaningful,” @nexolga remarked.
Those who attended the event asked Catriona if she could upload her full speech on her YouTube channel so that everyone would hear her entire message. (PUSH)
