NegOcc gov’t not renewing contracts of 13 ambulance drivers

BY DOMINIQUE GABRIEL G. BAÑAGA

BACOLOD City – The provincial government of Negros Occidental decided not to renew the contracts of 13 ambulance drivers working under the Provincial Disaster Management Program Division (PDMPD).

Provincial legal officer, Atty. Alberto Nellas Jr., said the 13 contract of service workers either failed or were late in submitting trip tickets.

Nellas added that the decision was immediately handed down against the drivers.

In October, the Provincial Legal Office issued show-cause orders to 18 PDMPD employees over alleged irregularities and uncouth behavior.

Of the 18, 13 drivers were accused of irregularities in their trip tickets, while the remaining personnel were accused of rude behavior towards co-workers and clients./PN
