VALLACAR Transit, Inc. (VTI) would like to clarify to our beloved riding public that the picture that is circulating the social media recently, where several passengers were seated on the roof of a yellow bus at the Libertad Public Market, was not a Ceres bus. It is not the practice of VTI management to put the lives of the general riding public at risk.
We are compliant with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s (LTFRB) policies. For several years, VTI had partnered with the modernization program of the agency. These programs were implemented to further improve the service that we are providing, as far as the reliability of said service, safety, and comfort of the riding public.
This incident is in clear violation of the franchise that has been granted by the agency, and we do not condone this type of blatant use of the bus’ signature colors. This had served to confuse the public and cast wrongful assumptions on the management’s adherence to the regulations set by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
The management has a sufficient number of units to cater to the riding public’s needs, and there is no reason to let them be uncomfortable during their travels.
Again, we would like to reiterate that VTI will never allow this incident to happen to the general riding public because we value your lives. We will continue to provide an efficient service to the Negrosanons.
