14K volunteer workers in Iloilo get cash incentives

ILOILO – To show appreciation to 14,000 volunteer workers implementing the programs and projects of the provincial government, the capitol will give each of them P4,000 cash incentive.

These volunteers are barangay health workers (BHWs), barangay service point officers (BSPOs), daycare workers (DCWs), and barangay nutrition scholars (BNS).

On Monday, Dec. 12, the Provincial Treasurer’s Office started distributing the cash incentives in designated payment centers in every district.

Among the first barangay volunteer workers to receive the incentives were those from the 1st District towns of Guimbal, Igbaras, Miag-ao, Oton, Tigbauan, Tubungan, and San Joaquin. The incentives were released in Guimbal town.

Today, volunteer workers from the 2nd District towns of Alimodian, Leon and San Miguel will get their cash incentives in San Miguel; and those from Leganes, New Lucena, Pavia, Santa Barbara, and Zarraga will be released in New Lucena.

Tomorrow, Dec. 14, 5th District volunteer workers from Balasan, Batad, Carles, Estancia, and San Dionisio towns will get their cash incentives in Balasan; and in Barotac Viejo for volunteers from Ajuy, Barotac Viejo, Concepcion, Lemery, San Rafael, and Sara.

Meanwhile, 4th District volunteers from Anilao, Banate, Barotac Nuevo, and Dumangas will get their share on Thursday, Dec. 15, in Barotac Nuevo. Those from Passi City, Dingle, Dueñas, and San Enrique will go to Passi City to claim their cash incentives.

On Friday, Dec. 16, volunteer workers from the 3rd District towns of Badiangan, Bingawan, Cabatuan, Calinog, Janiuay, Lambunao, Maasin, Mina, and Pototan will get their cash incentives in Janiuay.

Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. allotted P58,944,000 for the cash incentives of volunteer workers this 2022.

He hoped that he cash incentive, while small, could make the volunteers and their families happy this Christmas season.

“This is our way of acknowledging their voluntary service and important
